COUGAR HELICOPTERS INC.
SIKORSKY S-92A, C-GZCH
ST. JOHN’S, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR, 35 NM E
12 MARCH 2009

On 12 March 2009 a Cougar Helicopters’ Sikorsky S-92A on a flight to the Hibernia oil production platform had a total loss of oil in the transmission’s main gear box. The flight crew descended to 800 feet and headed towards St. John’s. Approximately 35 nautical miles from St. John's, during an attempted ditching, the helicopter struck the water in a high rate of descent. One passenger survived with serious injuries and the other seventeen occupants of the helicopter died of drowning.

So First I'd like to say Happy New Year from omghax.ca. I hope it's going well so far. digitone and I haven't gotten much of a chance to do a lot of hacking and urban exploring, but in the last couple weeks, we've taken a couple days to drive around and do some hacking in town. Hopefully digitone will post some of our pictures, but we haven't taken a whole lot lately. Stay tuned for more pictures and videos (yes I'm planning to post vids too)

Now for the main part of this post:

I created an omghax.ca YouTube account after we blasted rented speakers in the back of a truck and I had a video of it. The address for that is http://www.youtube.com/Omghaxca and you'll find that video still there.

I love the iPod Touch Shoutcast app so when I had the opportunity to update the app I though there was no sense not to (good things can only get better, right?). But I was wrong, the update brought "better stability" and some ads at the bottom of each tab when browsing for streams. As much as I hate ads, these are the even more annoying ones that pop up each and every time you change a tab or view and were really pissing me off. So I just went about my way (thanks Squid) and found a very easy way to stop them from being displayed, all you need to do is add these lines into the /etc/hosts of your iPhone/iPod Touch:

127.0.0.1 image.m-adx.com
127.0.0.1 ad.m-adx.com

There you go, the Shoutcast app without extremely annoying ads. laughing This might also block some ads in other applications that come from the same company (Third Screen Media.)
